STRESS
This usually
occurs when the events of life tend to be greater that the ability to cope
either the event is physical or psychological. Psychological stress can either
be positive or negative. For instance when one is stressed over a new job this
is positive while on the other hand when one is stressed for losing a job, this
is negative.
However,
stress can affect all organs of the body and their functions but the effect is
more felt in the following areas:

The
immune system is weaken thereby reduces resistance to infection and probably to
cancer and other diseases as well.
·
The
cardiovascular system and The heart that are supposed to work harder are
affected.
It is
imperative to consider that the following foods must be reduce or totally
eliminated: Stimulant Beverages, Alcoholic Beverages, and White Sugar.
Recommended healthy diet dishes: in helping the body to adapt to stress
the following must be included in your dishes: Protein, Carbohydrates, Walnut,
Almond, Pine nut, Chickpea, Wheat germ, and healthy diet dishes rich in vitamin B and C.
ANXIETY
This is an
emotional state that is unjustified, undesirable and primarily Psychosomatic.
Initially it affects the brain and latter spread to other parts of the body
producing symptoms like tachycardia, stomach pain, irritable bowel etc.
Anxiety can
be worsen by the following factors:

If
the intake of carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals which is essential for a
healthy nervous system is inevitably reduced as a result of unbalanced
weight-loss diet.
·
The
consumption of stimulants such as caffeine, tobacco, and alcoholic beverages.
Though these may seems to relieve anxiety but it usually intensify it after the
effect of the particular substance is gone. Since they are addictive drugs,
they all have a damaging effect on the nervous system.
Getting over
this problem, the following must be drastically reduced or eliminated:
Stimulant Beverages, Meat, and Alcohol.
Recommended healthy diet dishes: the following must
be included in your dishes; Wheat germ, Whole grains, Banana, Nuts, Yogurt,
Vitamin B6, and magnesium.
MENTAL
FATIGUE
Activities
which involve intense mental ability require certain nutrients in excess. The healthy diet dishes that best meet this
need are whole grains diet (particularly Oats) and oil-bearing nuts
(particularly Almonds and Walnuts). Wheat germ is also a good source of
nutrients.
Whole grains
supply us with complex carbohydrates and B vitamins that are necessary to
balance of the nervous system.
