The best healing foods for the nervous system

There are basically two substances that make the Brain function optimally. These are glucose and oxygen. However there are other nutrients derive from healing foods needed for higher functioning like memory, thought, and self-control. The healing foods that mostly influence the healthy functioning of the brain and the nervous system are foods rich in vitamin B i.e. B group vitamins. For instance the deficiency in vitamin B1 results in irritability and depression while lack of vitamin B6 results in fatigue and nervousness.
Also minerals are directly involved in the activity of the neurons. The lack of magnesium for example leads to nervousness and anxiety. It has been discovered that unsaturated fatty acids, such as linolenic acids, which can be found in nuts are needed for the development of the brain and nervous system of the children. Meanwhile, on the other hand, excess consumption of sugar and other additives like coloring has an adverse effect on the nervous system and as well alter behavior.  Some artificial coloring such as tartrazine can unleash hyperactive and even aggressive behavior in children particularly.
